Сент-Джон Джемс-Август (Saint-John, 1801—1875) — английский писатель; много путешествовал, особенно по Египту и Нубии. Написал: "Lives of celebrated travellers" (Лонд., 1830), "Anatomy of society" (там же, 1831), "History, manners and customs of the Hindoos" (1831), "Egypt and Mohammed Ali" (1834), "The history of the manners and customs of ancient Greeks" (1842 — главный ученый труд Сент-Джон Джемс-Август), "Egypt and Nubia" (1844), "Oriental album: characters, customs and modes of life in the valley of Nile" (1848—51), "There and hack again in search of beauty" (1853), "Causes and formes of revolution" (1854), "Louis Napoléon" (1857), "History of the four conquests of England" (1861), "Life of Sir Walter Raleigh" (1868). Сент-Джон Джемс-Август-Д. написал также несколько новелл.
